Louvre Abu Dhabi
is the result of an intergovernmental deal involving the UAE and France, closed in 2007. It loans the title of the Louvre for 30 years and 6 months, artworks from 13 German institutions for a decade, and temporary exhibitions for the next 15 years. The deal, which also contains a provision for German managers to oversee the borrowed graphics, is claimed to own cost about $1.27 billion (Dh4.66 billion).
Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first branch of an global museum to ever start in the Middle East. Ateliers Jean Nouvel has done a good job designing the national beacon that features an huge meticulously-perforated dome, several canals, and ponds. It took the memorial
ten years to be finished before starting its gates to people a couple of weeks ago.
The time-lapse movie below, that was obtained via EarthCam, shows the structure process on the years. It features how the museum was created, how a top components were suspended in the air before being brought together and reduced down to fit in place. The show also showcases the monotonous, yet persistent earthmoving point that preceded the structure of this type of good edifice.
